Entry fee $25.00 per team, no more than four (4) people per team. Teams to consist of all boys or all girls, no co-ed teams. Early entry deadline is 10 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Late entries after July 9th will be $30.00 per team up until registration time.
Classes: Girls ages 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, over 19
Boys ages 9-11, 12-15, 16-19, over 19
Contestants under 18 years of age MUST have a signed release form.
Maximum of four (4) persons per team.
Dress for mud. SHOES MUST BE WORN. Long pants and undergarments
required. T-shirts or sleeved shirts only.
Ring will be approximately 20 foot circle and 24 inches deep.
Team must catch and place the hog on the barrel with bare hands in one (1) minute or less. NO ARTIFICIAL CATCH DEVICES. UNNECESSARY CRUELTY WILL DISQUALIFY TEAM.
Committee will advance the hog into the ring. At the sound of the horn, contestants will enter the ring. The clock starts when the first contestant breaks the barrier and official raises the flag. Clock stops when the hog is placed on top of the barrel and the official raises the flag.
Teams must return the hog to the chute after each run or they will be disqualified.
Judges, timer, starter, flagger and gate person--ALL DECISIONS FINAL.
Trophies awarded for first (1st) place only.
You MUST wash off mud before leaving the arena in the designated area. Bring a change of clothes.
NO MUD ALLOWED OUTSIDE THE ARENA. GREEN 4-H BUILDING BATHROOMS ARE NOT TO BE USED FOR CLEAN UP, ONLY OUTSIDE BATHROOMS. NO MUD SLINGING INSIDE OR OUTSIDE OF ARENA.
The committee reserves the right to make changes as deemed necessary.
